Swiss Medical Network strengthens its profitability in the first quarter of 2026

Swiss Medical Network, a subsidiary of AEVIS VICTORIA SA, reported a significant improvement in its operating profitability for the first quarter of 2026. Total revenue reached CHF 291.4 million, an increase of 12.7% compared to the previous year, although this rise is attributable to the inclusion of new tariff contracts. Net revenue, a more reliable indicator, increased by 1.5% to CHF 226.0 million.

Profitability was primarily boosted by a 16.0% increase in EBITDAR, reaching CHF 49.3 million. Similarly, EBITDA rose by 21.3% to CHF 25.2 million. These positive effects stem from the 2025 restructuring measures. Cost control and increased efficiency led to improved EBITDA margins from 9.3% to 11.2%.

Hospital activities contributed significantly to this performance, with net revenue up 1.7% and EBITDA increasing by 17.6%. The integration of Spital Zofingen, planned for 2027, is expected to increase internal synergies.
