AGRANA's Autumn Campaign 2025 Advances Across Austria
The autumn campaign of AGRANA for 2025 is now fully operational across six sites in Austria, commencing with wet corn processing in Aschach/Donau. AGRANA's CEO, Stephan Büttner, highlighted efforts in enhancing energy efficiency and reducing CO2 through maintenance activities. The sugar mill in Tulln has increased its reliance on biogas, while the starch mill in Gmünd implemented a heat recovery system for the current campaign.
The sugar beet processing began on September 5, with favorable weather aiding development. Meanwhile, industrial starch potato processing in Gmünd started on August 25 and is expected to conclude in January 2026. Wet corn processing, initiated in late August in Pischelsdorf and on September 8 in Aschach/Donau, will extend to December before reverting to dry corn processing.
The apple processing campaign at the AUSTRIA JUICE facility in Kröllendorf commenced on September 1, anticipated to end by October's close.
