Air Liquide has announced an investment exceeding 170 million euros aimed at supplying ultra-high purity gases to a leading semiconductor manufacturer in Japan. This venture supports the expansion of the customer's logic chip production facility under a long-term agreement. The partnership underscores the semiconductor leader's confidence in Air Liquide's capability to facilitate advanced chip manufacturing, key to the rapidly advancing AI and high-performance computing markets.

The investment entails the construction, ownership, and operation of production units delivering ultra-pure nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and hydrogen. Located in Japan’s Southern semiconductor hub, this project enhances Air Liquide's standing as a critical partner in the local industry.
