SMART Photonics Boosts Production with AIXTRON's G10-AsP System
SMART Photonics, a Netherlands-based Indium Phosphide foundry, is set to enhance its production capacity with AIXTRON SE's new G10-AsP system. This move aims to meet the rising demand for photonic integrated circuits (PICs), forecasted to grow at 14% CAGR until 2027. The expansion is driven by the increasing importance of technologies like 5G, AI, and automotive LiDAR.
The G10-AsP system will provide SMART Photonics with superior wafer uniformity and process stability, essential for high-quality PIC production. The Eindhoven-based company, founded in 2012, continues its collaboration with AIXTRON to push forward innovations in integrated photonics.
