ALSTOM secures a new order from SNCF Voyageurs
Alstom has been selected by SNCF Voyageurs to supply 15 additional Avelia Horizon high-speed trains. This contract, worth a total of €600 million, will strengthen the European rail fleet by 2029. The new generation of trains is designed to meet the requirements of sustainable mobility, while offering significant energy efficiency with a 20% reduction in consumption compared to current models.
This order represents the fourth tranche secured under the Innovation Partnership agreement, bringing the total number of trains ordered to date to 160. Nearly 10 Alstom sites in France will participate in this project, reinforcing the group's commitment to environmentally friendly rail innovation.
