Amarc and Freeport Initiate $10 Million Drilling in JOY District

Amarc Resources Ltd. and Freeport-McMoRan Mineral Properties Canada Inc. have launched a $10 million exploration program in the JOY District of north-central British Columbia. The initiative focuses on drilling at key sites such as the AuRORA Deposit, PINE Deposit, and discoveries like Twins and Canyon. This project aims to unearth new copper-gold deposits within the district.

In addition to drilling, Amarc has expanded its land holdings in the JOY District, incorporating the Brenda Property and a section of the PIL Property. This move enhances Amarc's geological footprint, supported by Freeport's funding responsibilities for the exploration program.

Amarc President and CEO Diane Nicolson highlighted the potential for major copper-gold discoveries in the JOY District. This aligns with government strategies emphasizing critical minerals for the green and digital economy transformation.
