Amoéba receives authorization in France for its biofungicide AXPERA
Amoéba has obtained marketing authorization in France for its biofungicide AXPERA. This decision by ANSES marks the start of commercialization, in partnership with Koppert, initially in France before expanding to the rest of Europe. AXPERA, which inhibits the germination of fungal spores, is authorized for use on several crops, including grapevines and cucurbits.
The product is considered low-risk and usable in both conventional and organic agriculture. Its exemption from Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) makes it easier to sell treated products. Amoéba plans to include it on the list of biocontrol products, which would allow it to better meet environmental requirements.
This 15-year authorization facilitates future expansion in Europe, where other countries are preparing their national procedures. This development is a key lever for Amoéba and its European ambitions.
