Thunderful Shareholders Approve Share Issue to Atari
On January 26, 2026, Atari announced the approval of a directed share issue by Thunderful Group AB, granting Atari 90.2% ownership in Thunderful. The share issue, valued at SEK 35 million (approximately $3.8 million), marks a significant strategic move for Atari.
With this new acquisition, Atari intends to delist Thunderful from Nasdaq First North Growth Market and commence a procedure to acquire remaining minority shares. Atari will offer SEK 0.30 per share, representing a substantial premium over recent closing prices.
This transaction was financed through a loan from IRATA LLC. Atari is set to proceed with the compulsory redemption to secure full ownership of Thunderful, aiming for seamless integration into its portfolio of entertainment brands.
