Athena Gold Corporation Acquires Forester Gold Project
Athena Gold Corporation has finalized its acquisition of the Forester Gold Project through the purchase of Last Bounty Gold Corp. This acquisition positions Athena strategically near Orla Mining's Musselwhite Mine. Athena's CEO, Koby Kushner, highlighted the favorable geological traits of Forester, indicating its potential for near-surface, bulk-tonnage gold deposits. This move aligns with Athena's focus on exploring high-potential sites near major gold producers.
The acquisition involved exchanging 42 million shares of Athena for all outstanding shares of Last Bounty, giving Athena a 12% stake. The transaction does not create new insiders, and no finder's fees were applied. Athena plans to mobilize drilling at its flagship Laird Lake project soon, equipped with the necessary permits.
