Athena Gold Secures Permits for Laird Lake Drill Program

Athena Gold Corporation has received permits for its maiden drill program at the Laird Lake project in Ontario's Red Lake Gold District. The company prepares for a fully funded, 5,000-meter drill program, targeting geophysical anomalies. The program will test both geophysical and geochemical anomalies with eight to ten diamond-drill holes.

The exploration will leverage SkyTEM magnetic and EM data to identify high-priority drill targets. Conductive anomalies suggest potential for critical minerals such as copper, nickel, and platinum-group elements. Athena has also secured an agreement with Wabauskang First Nation to ensure cooperative relations regarding the project.

The exploration agreement includes issuing 100,000 shares to Wabauskang First Nation. The drill program aims to maximize success by intersecting multiple zones per drill hole, refining targets with reprocessed data, and testing new geophysical interpretations.
