Atlas Salt Appoints New Project Director to Lead Key Initiatives

Atlas Salt Inc. has appointed Andrew Smith as Project Director and General Manager for the Great Atlantic Salt Project. Smith, who joined Atlas Salt in 2023 as Mine Project Manager, has been integral to progressing environmental assessments and securing regulatory approvals for the project.

In his expanded role, Smith will oversee project execution and operational readiness. Immediate tasks include enhancing the governance framework in preparation for construction, advancing financing strategies with Endeavour Financial, and collaborating with technical partners on permits and approvals.

Chairman Patrick Laracy highlighted Smith's leadership and vision as pivotal to meeting project goals with a focus on safety and sustainability. Smith expressed enthusiasm for guiding the project into its next phase, emphasizing responsible building practices.
