Aton Resources Reveals Promising Drilling Results at Abu Marawat
Aton Resources Inc. has announced significant findings from its ongoing diamond drilling program at the Abu Marawat deposit in Egypt. The project has focused on near-surface polymetallic mineralization within the challenging terrain of the Eastern Desert. Aton drilled 95 holes, totaling 7,917 meters, revealing substantial gold, silver, copper, and zinc deposits.
New results from 21 additional holes have highlighted high-grade intersections. Notably, hole AMD-151 reported 8.52 g/t gold and 88.7 g/t silver over 15.4 meters, while hole AMD-146 indicated 6.06 g/t gold and 59.6 g/t silver over 17.3 meters within the Central Vein Zone (CVZ).
The findings underscore the potential for long-term mining development at Abu Marawat. Aton aims to expand operations and is conducting metallurgical testwork to enhance its mining strategies. Meanwhile, environmental assessments continue at Hamama West, with plans for further hydro drilling.
