Aztec Minerals Extends Mineralized System at Tombstone
Aztec Minerals Corp. (AZT:TSXV)(OTCQB:AZZTF) has announced significant progress in extending the Contention mineralized system at its Tombstone Property in Arizona. Results from recent drilling include an impressive extension of the strike length by 255 meters to a total of over 1,250 meters of mineralization.
The company reported data from five RC drill holes, identifying notable high-grade intervals. In particular, drill hole TR26-41 revealed a stretch of 83.8 meters averaging 0.90 g/t Au and 22.61 g/t Ag, with a section of 7.6 meters at 6.97 g/t Au and 75.42 g/t Ag. Similarly, TR26-43 extended the mineralization zone further north by 90 meters, returning 51.8 meters averaging 0.70 g/t Au and 25.59 g/t Ag.
Aztec's CEO Simon Dyakowski emphasized the success of the preliminary step-out drilling in tracing continuous mineralization and highlighted the system's potential for further extensions.
