The Africa Cup of Nations 2025 commenced with an impactful Opening Ceremony, showcasing unity and the resilience of African football. Held on December 21, 2025, the event was a collaboration between Balich Wonder Studio and Avant Scène, combining global creativity with local expertise.

The ceremony highlighted Africa's cultural diversity, with a focus on Morocco as the host nation. Creative Director Carlos Navarrete Patiño designed the event around light as a symbol of unity. A multinational lineup of artists, including RedOne and Angélique Kidjo, contributed to the vibrant show.

Balich Wonder Studio, known for large-scale events such as the Olympics, partnered with Moroccan agency Avant Scène. The ceremony integrated Moroccan cultural motifs like zellij tile-work, turning the stadium into a spectacle of light and motion. They plan to collaborate again for the tournament's Closing Ceremony.
