BioMérieux Unveils Rapid Cardiac Diagnosis Tool SPINCHIP® hs-cTnl

bioMérieux has launched its cutting-edge SPINCHIP® platform, introducing SPINCHIP® hs-cTnl, a high-sensitivity cardiac troponin I test aimed at expediting cardiac emergency management. The innovation, presented at the European Society of Emergency Medicine Congress, will soon be available in Europe. The test is designed to address overcrowding in emergency departments by providing swift results, helping to quickly triage patients suspected of acute myocardial infarction.

Emergency departments in Europe are under significant pressure, with around 90% experiencing patient volumes that exceed their capacity, impacting care quality and resource allocation. Chest pain is a prevalent concern, contributing to delays in patient management due to slow laboratory results. The SPINCHIP® system addresses this delay by providing lab-quality results in about 10 minutes. Using a small blood sample, the device facilitates rapid decision-making in emergencies, enhancing patient comfort and resource optimization.

CEO Pierre Boulud highlights this as a strategic move in bioMérieux's plan to expand point-of-care testing, reinforcing the company's commitment to improving patient care and health system efficiency.
