Borussia Dortmund Marks 25 Years on Stock Exchange
On December 9th, Borussia Dortmund commemorated a milestone: 25 years as the only Bundesliga soccer club listed on the stock exchange. Since October 31, 2000, the club’s shares have traded under the securities number 549309. A ceremony took place in Frankfurt, attended by club executives, shareholders, and Deutsche Börse representatives.
Thomas Treß, Managing Director, highlighted Borussia Dortmund's commitment to balancing sporting ambition with economic prudence thanks to its solid fanbase. Currently, the club stands third in the Bundesliga and ranks sixth in the UEFA Champions League.
Recently appointed spokesman Carsten Cramer sees significant potential for further growth, aiming to advance the club’s international stature while honoring its roots. Borussia Dortmund remains a beacon of sustainable growth in European soccer.
