Cerrado Gold Reports Q1 2025 Production Results at Minera Don Nicolas Mine
Cerrado Gold Inc. revealed its Q1 2025 production outcomes from the Minera Don Nicolas Mine in Argentina, showcasing a production of 11,163 Gold Equivalent Ounces (GEOs). The results indicated a slight improvement from the prior quarter, attributed to enhanced heap leach operations. Record heap leach production of 7,228 GEOs was achieved, prompting the company to revise its 2025 production guidance to 55,000 - 60,000 GEOs.
The company plans to start underground development at Paloma in Q2 2025, with initial production slated for Q3. Enhancements in the crushing circuit are underway and aim at augmenting production efficiency. Cerrado anticipates higher AISC at $1,500 - $1,700 per GEO, influenced by underground mining and persistent inflation.
Furthermore, exploration efforts continue at the Mont Sorcier Iron Project, with ongoing metallurgical tests supporting the crafting of a Bankable Feasibility Study due by Q1 2026.
