CESI Celebrates 70 Years of Innovation in Energy Sector

Milan-based CESI marked its 70th anniversary with an event titled "Powering What's Next," reflecting on its contributions to the energy sector since its founding in 1956. Originally established as a research center during Italy's post-war electrification efforts, CESI has significantly influenced the development, security, and modernization of energy infrastructure in Italy and globally. Attendees, including industry leaders and institutions, discussed future challenges in the energy sector.

Over the decades, CESI has supported power grid advancements, technical standard definitions, and the testing of new technologies, evolving to meet changing energy demands. Today, it operates in over 70 countries, offering services in engineering, strategic consulting, and advanced electrical testing. CESI is recognized as a top producer of high-efficiency solar cells for space applications.

CEO Nicola Melchiotti emphasized CESI's role in the global energy transition, highlighting their focus on grid security, decarbonization, and infrastructure resilience. He reinforced CESI's commitment to integrating technological innovation and independence to advance future energy systems.
