China Pavilion at COP30 Showcases Global Dialogue on Ecological Civilization
On December 9, 2025, the China Pavilion at COP30 in Belém, Brazil, hosted the Erhai Forum, focusing on global ecological civilization. With about 100 participants from around the world, this event provided a platform for discussing approaches to ecological governance and sustainable development.
Key figures included Yan Shidong of China's Ministry of Ecology, Yang Zeliang, Vice Governor of Dali Bai, and Zhang Yong of SPIC Smart Energy. Nelmara Arbex of KPMG Brazil and Zhan Liang, CEO of Shanghai SUS Environment, also attended. The discussions aimed at finding actionable areas for cooperation in international environmental governance.
The event featured the launch of the "Listening to a Breathing Earth" project and an exhibition showcasing Yunnan province's ecological heritage. Organized by CIPC and Dali Bai, with input from CICG, the forum emphasized multilateral exchange for ecological progress. CICG plans to continue using the Erhai Forum for global environmental initiatives at future climate conferences.
