SirPAD Study Highlights MagicTouch Balloons at VIVA 2026
New data from the SirPAD trial will be showcased at VIVA 2026 in Las Vegas, highlighting the effectiveness of MagicTouch sirolimus-coated balloons for femoropopliteal peripheral artery disease (PAD) treatment in patients experiencing claudication. Conducted by Concept Medical, the trial involved 1,252 patients, comparing angioplasty results using coated versus uncoated balloons.
Previously published in the New England Journal of Medicine, the trial demonstrated a significant reduction in major adverse limb events after one year with the MagicTouch balloon. The latest analysis evaluates 597 patients addressing femoropopliteal disease without tissue loss, focusing on symptom relief beyond limb preservation.
