Continental AG Nears Finalization of ContiTech Sector Sale to Lone Star Funds
Continental AG has announced it is in the final stages of negotiating a deal to sell its ContiTech group sector to Lone Star Funds. According to a recent statement, the Executive and Supervisory Boards of the company have agreed to a purchase agreement valued at 4 billion euros, with an additional performance-linked fee of up to 250 million euros possible in the coming years.
Despite the progress in negotiations, a binding agreement has not yet been finalized. This strategic move reflects Continental AG's ongoing efforts to optimize portfolio holdings by divesting non-core assets. The transaction's completion would mark a significant restructuring step for the German automotive supplier.
