CoTec Advances Lac Jeannine Project with Drilling Completion and Feasibility Study Preparations
CoTec Holdings Corp. has completed its 2025 sonic drilling and bulk sampling program at the Lac Jeannine Iron Tailings Project in Québec, Canada. The company has also engaged Corem for metallurgical testing and initiated a search for an EPCM provider for the upcoming Feasibility Study, set to begin in Q3 2025.
This progress aims to enhance the current resource estimate and explore the potential for additional material recovery outside the existing tailings dam. The project has the potential to meet the high purity iron concentrate demands of the green steel industry with competitive cost structures.
Previous assessments, including an initial Mineral Resource Estimate and Preliminary Economic Assessment, show promising economic potential. The infill drilling could significantly extend the project's lifespan without additional capital expenditure, highlighting its substantial upside potential.
