Covivio Acquires Full Ownership of CB21 Tower Amidst Paris-La Défense Market Revival
Covivio has secured 100% ownership of the CB21 tower in Paris-La Défense by purchasing a 25% minority stake. This acquisition aligns with Covivio's real estate strategy in a recovering rental market at La Défense.
Strategically located near Esplanade de la Défense metro station, CB21 offers 68,000 m² across 41 floors, providing high-standard services and 1,500 m² of green spaces. The tower holds environmental certifications including Active Score Gold and HQE Exploitation.
La Défense's rental market is witnessing a resurgence with 2024 take-up reaching over 211,000 m², fuelled by external transactions signaling renewed corporate interest. Covivio's purchase occurs as historic tenant Suez departs mid-2025, allowing repositioning work to continue.
Covivio's differentiated marketing strategy has secured rental agreements for 6,000 m² with further discussions for 4,000 m² ongoing, demonstrating robust demand.
