EDF to Sell Power Solutions Operations in North America

EDF has signed an agreement to sell its power solutions operations in the United States and Canada to KKR. This decision follows a competitive process with KKR agreeing to acquire the assets of EDF Power Solutions Inc. and EDF Power Solutions Canada Inc. The agreement includes an option for EDF to sell these assets.

EDF Power Solutions focuses on delivering clean energy solutions, including the development and operation of renewable power plants, energy storage, smart EV charging, and microgrids. In North America, EDF manages a renewable asset portfolio with a total net capacity of 5.6 GW.

The transaction is pending an information and consultation process with employee representative bodies and requires approval from governance bodies.
