Daimler Truck Reports Strong Q2 Results Amidst Revised 2025 Outlook
Daimler Truck Holding AG reported robust Q2 performance, achieving an adjusted return on sales (ROS) of 9.3% in its Industrial Business, despite ongoing macroeconomic uncertainties. However, a weakened North American market led the company to lower its 2025 forecast. The full-year North American Class 8 market guidance has been revised to 250,000-280,000 units from 260,000-290,000. Correspondingly, Trucks North America's sales are expected between 135,000-155,000 units, down from 155,000-175,000.
The group anticipates adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) at €3.6-€4.1 billion, while Industrial Business unit sales projections are 410,000-440,000 units. Industrial revenue expectations have been adjusted to €44-€47 billion, with a ROS of 7%-9%. Free cash flow forecasts are €1.5-€2 billion.
The adjusted guidance assumes no significant changes in the USMCA framework or geopolitical conditions.
