Deezer: 28% of Streaming Music Now AI-Generated

Deezer, a prominent global music streaming platform, reports a significant rise in AI-generated music. As of now, over 28% of daily music uploads are AI-created, marking a steady increase from 10% in January to 18% in April, reaching 28% in September. Deezer employs an AI detection tool to tag AI-generated tracks, which are excluded from recommendations and playlists, preserving fairness for artists and listeners.

Notably, Deezer is currently the only streaming service actively marking AI-generated content. They aim to minimize AI's impact on royalties while addressing fraud connected to AI music uploads. Despite AI tracks composing a small fraction of streams, roughly 70% of these streams are found to be fraudulent.
