Deezer Reports Modest Revenue Growth in Q1 2025
Deezer, a global music streaming platform, announced its Q1 2025 revenue of €134 million, marking an increase of 1.1% year-on-year. Despite a challenging comparison with Q1 2024, the company achieved a revenue rise of 2.5% at constant currency. France contributed significantly with a 4.5% increase in revenue, propelled by subscriber growth in the Direct segment.
The subscriber base reached 9.4 million, with 3.5 million in France, increasing by 6.3% like-for-like. However, the total subscriber count dropped by 5.4% year-on-year due to declines in partnerships. The transition of MeLi+ promotions to premium services was a factor in this change, as partnerships fell to 4.1 million from 4.9 million.
Looking ahead, Deezer maintains its 2025 guidance, anticipating positive adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow. The platform also launched new personalized features to enhance user experience, emphasizing their strategic focus on innovation.
