Lithuania Chooses Procivis for Digital Identity Sandbox

Lithuania has selected Procivis AG to provide its European Digital Identity (EUDI) Wallet sandbox. Announced on February 5, 2026, this decision follows a public procurement process. Procivis, a digital identity expert and Orell Füssli subsidiary, will collaborate with Lithuania's State Digital Solutions Agency (SDSA) to develop the national testbed.

The project will use Procivis One, a production-ready and eIDAS 2.0-compliant technology, to create a secure digital wallet platform. This will advance Lithuania's digital identity initiative, ensuring regulatory alignment by the end of 2026. The sandbox allows cross-border digital identity verification for services like public access and travel.

The 12-month project forms the basis for Lithuania's future digital infrastructure. The initiative aims to reduce administrative challenges and position Lithuania as a digital leader. Procivis was chosen for its mature technology and expertise, ensuring the EUDI wallet is launched efficiently.
