Sun Summit Completes 2026 Program at Theory Project
Eagle Plains Resources Ltd., in partnership with Sun Summit Minerals Corp., has concluded the 2026 field exploration at the Theory Project in British Columbia's Toodoggone District. The project is focused on identifying copper-gold mineralization, with significant advancements reported.
The exploration unveiled notable zones including Saboteur and Baguette Peak, highlighting chalcocite and chalcopyrite mineralization. The newly discovered Misty Mountain Zone showed diverse copper occurrences over a 2.2 km area.
Geophysical surveys such as MobileMT and IP have identified anomalies in resistivity and chargeability, correlating with known mineralization hotspots. A total of 218 rock samples and 533 soil samples were collected, with results pending.
The 2026 program, building on success from 2025, involved geological mapping, prospecting, and geochemical sampling. The work aims to guide drilling initiatives for 2027, supported by a $700,000 budget.
