Eckert & Ziegler and DC Pharma Unveil Isotope Facility in China

Eckert & Ziegler SE and DC Pharma have inaugurated a new medical isotope production site in Jintan, Changzhou, China. The joint venture, Qi Kang Medical Technology, will initially produce Germanium-68 (Ge-68), crucial for diagnostic imaging. This facility strengthens the local supply of isotopes for cancer diagnostics and treatment in China. It occupies 9,500 m², with production set to start in early 2027.

The project includes future plans to produce Actinium-225 (Ac-225), a pivotal isotope for targeted cancer therapies. The opening was celebrated by representatives from both companies and government officials. Eckert & Ziegler enhances its position as a global radioisotope supplier, emphasizing its commitment to the Chinese nuclear medicine market.
