Eckert & Ziegler Partners with Thor Medical for Lead-212 Access
On May 28, 2026, Eckert & Ziegler SE, a leader in isotope-related components for nuclear medicine and radiation therapy, announced a partnership with Thor Medical. This collaboration aims to enhance access to lead-212 for pharmaceutical companies. Lead-212, known for its promising applications in targeted alpha therapy, will be supplied by Thor Medical for preclinical research.
This agreement supports the expansion of lead-212 based therapies. Thor Medical and Eckert & Ziegler plan to integrate their capabilities in isotope production and radiopharmaceutical manufacturing. Thor Medical's technology platform, operational since 2024, will see its first commercial production facility, AlphaOne, begin later in 2026.
Both companies aim to strengthen their positions in the growing radiopharmaceutical market by advancing lead-212 based therapies into development programs. This partnership is a strategic step towards enabling new cancer treatments.
