Écomiam Maintains Its Objectives Despite Falling Consumption
Écomiam, France's third-largest frozen food retailer, announced a 2.9% decline in sales for the first half of 2024/25. This decline is due to consumer caution in a challenging economic climate and an unfavorable calendar effect. Despite this, new store openings show an 18% increase in sales compared to closed stores, confirming the company's growth strategy.
The group anticipates an improvement in gross margin thanks to targeted investments and the renewal of its product offering. Two new stores will open in Poitiers and Amiens, offsetting two closures. The shop-in-shop concept, tested in garden centers, promises rapid growth potential with minimal investment.
écomiam is aiming for a turnover of €100 million by 2028, focusing on its expansion and innovative business models to optimize its national presence.
