Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust Faces Boardroom Battle

Edinburgh Worldwide Investment Trust (EWI) finds itself embroiled in another conflict with Saba Capital Management. On December 3, 2025, the US hedge fund issued a requisition notice aiming to oust all six of EWI's independent non-executive directors. They propose installing three individuals nominated by Saba. EWI's board is urging shareholders to oppose this move, calling it a power grab that overlooks the interests of existing shareholders. Previously, in February, a similar attempt by Saba failed.
