Eiffage Construction Secures €40.8 Million Contract for Rouen Renovation
On 24 September, Eiffage Construction announced a significant milestone at the USH Congress, securing a €40.8 million design-build contract with 3F Normanvie. The project aims to renovate 620 homes on an occupied site in Rouen, expanding them with 44 new residences through attic conversions. This initiative involves ten buildings on Rue Marin le Pigny, collaborating with Ataub Architectes and Ithaques, starting in early 2026 and completing by December 2028.
The project is ambitious environmentally, targeting RE2020 thresholds for 2028 and 2031, alongside achieving BBC Rénovation 2024 and BEE labels. With a growing necessity to upgrade existing housing for environmental legislation compliance, this contract exemplifies robust renovation market momentum.
Social landlords have historically driven demand, but the private sector shows increasing interest due to energy performance and comfort. Eiffage's expertise in comprehensive solutions has led to over €450 million in orders in the French market this year, highlighting its pivotal role in housing renovations.
