Eiffage Enters Exclusive Negotiations to Acquire Warnow Tunnel in Germany

Eiffage has announced it is entering into exclusive negotiations with Atlas Arteria for a potential acquisition of the Warnow Tunnel concession in Rostock, Germany. This move is subject to due diligence and documentation, aiming for full control of the 2km toll road, which features a 0.8km tunnel beneath the Warnow River and has been operational since September 2003. The concession extends until 2053.

Since 2024, Eiffage and Atlas Arteria have explored various strategies to expand their two-decade partnership into the German market. Discussions included possibly pooling their concession and PPP assets before Atlas Arteria proposed a cash sale to Eiffage.

The transaction's completion is uncertain and contingent on various legal and regulatory approvals. If successful, the deal is expected to conclude in the latter half of 2026. Employees of the involved entities will be briefed according to legal requirements.
