Ekinops and O2 Telefónica launch an innovative 5G solution for businesses
On March 2, 2026, Ekinops and O2 Telefónica announced a new solution integrating fixed-line extension via a 5G mobile connection. This innovation aims to bring high-speed connectivity to businesses, even in areas with poor coverage. It allows O2 Telefónica to strengthen its "High-Performance Connection" solution for its customers in Germany.
The solution, based on an outdoor 5G unit, was co-developed with centralized management. It guarantees high-speed service with performance ten times greater than traditional antennas and rapid installation. Other advantages include flexible installations and enhanced network security.
According to Nils Joachim of O2 Telefónica, this offering overcomes structural constraints and ensures reliable access. Sylvain Quartier of Ekinops emphasizes its ease of installation. In short, this solution raises the bar for business connectivity.
