Electric Metals and Lucid Collaborate to Promote Domestic Critical Minerals

Electric Metals (USA) Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Lucid Group as part of the Minerals for National Automotive Competitiveness (MINAC) initiative. This collaboration aims to enhance the U.S. automotive supply chain by promoting the use of domestic critical minerals, reducing dependency on foreign resources, in alignment with a Presidential Executive Order. The partnership is joined by companies like Alaska Energy Metals and Graphite One, aiming to bolster local economies and create jobs. Brian Savage, CEO of Electric Metals, emphasized the importance of securing domestic sources for critical materials as demand rises.

The formal launch of MINAC will include a panel discussion in Washington, D.C. featuring key political figures. MINAC is designed to develop domestic supply chains supporting national security and American energy leadership. This initiative is expected to generate significant investments in mining and minerals processing. Electric Metals focuses on manganese projects, crucial for lithium-ion batteries, with its Emily Manganese Project potentially becoming a significant local source.
