Electrovaya Partners with Janus Electric for Battery Supply in Class 8 Trucks

Electrovaya Inc., a leader in lithium-ion battery technology, has signed a Commercial Supply Agreement with Janus Electric Holdings. This partnership marks Electrovaya's entry into the heavy-duty Class 8 truck sector in Australia and the US.

Under the agreement, Electrovaya will provide its Infinity high voltage lithium-ion battery systems to transform diesel trucks into zero-emission electric vehicles. The partnership highlights the demand for Electrovaya's batteries, known for their long life and safety.

Dr. Raj DasGupta, CEO of Electrovaya, emphasized the challenge of electrifying Class 8 trucks, especially in Australia where long distances are common. Ian Campbell, CEO of Janus, noted the importance of this collaboration in decarbonizing heavy transport.
