Energiekontor AG Reports Strong Earnings Driven by Project Expansion

In the first half of 2025, Energiekontor AG, a German renewable energy company, achieved significant improvements in group earnings. This development was mainly driven by its thriving project business.

The company reported a rise in group earnings before taxes (EBT) by 69.5% to €28.3 million compared to the previous year, despite a steady sales figure of €76.0 million. Total income increased by 79.2% due to projects currently under construction. However, operating expenses rose due to higher material and personnel costs.

Energiekontor sold two wind projects during this period, contributing to improved sales in their project development segment. The power generation segment, however, faced challenges due to weak wind volumes and lower solar energy supply, impacting overall productivity.

The company reaffirmed its growth strategy for 2023-2028 and is confident in reaching a target EBT of around €120 million by 2028.
