Energiekontor Sells German Wind Park Project to Private Investors

Energiekontor AG, a prominent player in renewable energy development based in Bremen, Germany, has sold its Drensteinfurt-Rieth wind park project in North Rhine-Westphalia to multiple private investors. The project includes two Enercon E-160 EP5 wind turbines, with a total generation capacity of about 11 megawatts. This capacity can supply renewable electricity to over 7,000 households annually, offsetting more than 18,000 tonnes of CO2. The project was supported by an EEG subsidy from the German Federal Network Agency.

This marks the second project sale for Energiekontor AG in 2025. CEO Peter Szabo noted ongoing negotiations for additional projects, emphasizing the company's strategy to expand its portfolio for consistent income through its own renewable electricity generation.
