ENGIE Commissions 450 MW of Solar Capacity in India
ENGIE has announced the commissioning of two major solar projects in India, contributing an additional 450 MW to its operational capacity. The projects include the 250 MW Khaba plant in Rajasthan and the 200 MW Khavda facility in Gujarat.
The launch of these projects underscores ENGIE's capacity to execute large-scale renewable initiatives while boosting local employment, with 80% of the workforce sourced locally. This expansion aligns with ENGIE's strategy to meet India's growing need for reliable, low-carbon energy.
Apart from these solar developments, ENGIE is advancing its battery storage capabilities in India, marking a significant step in its renewable resources and flexibility solutions strategy in the region.
