Eramet: State-backed capital increase in 2026
Eramet confirms a €500 million capital increase in the fourth quarter of 2026, supported by its main shareholders and a strategic investment from the French State through the State Shareholding Agency (APE). This operation aims to strengthen the group's equity, comply with banking covenants, and advance its strategy for securing supplies of critical metals.
The APE, now the largest shareholder, will subscribe to its 27.1% stake and could acquire Sorame-CEIR's subscription rights to increase its share to 49% of the voting rights. Sorame-CEIR will retain a significant position.
This strategic plan should enable Eramet to improve its performance and monetize assets, ensuring financial stability and encouraging future growth.
