Partial restart of Eramet production in Senegal

Eramet has announced the partial restart of its mineral sands production in Senegal. Since the end of April, the Eramet Grande Côte site has been operating at approximately 30% of its nominal capacity. This resumption follows the fire in February that had interrupted operations. Production of HMC, expected to reach between 300 and 400 kt by 2026, has resumed thanks to the use of temporary mining units.

Reconstruction of the damaged facilities has begun, with a target return to full capacity in the first quarter of 2027. Despite the resumption of operations, the force majeure clause affecting the contracts remains in effect. Eramet also anticipates resuming shipments this summer, depending on available stock.
