Eurobattery Minerals Appoints Agne Ahlenius as Managing Director for San Juan Project

Eurobattery Minerals AB has announced the appointment of Agne Ahlenius as Managing Director for its San Juan Tungsten Project in Galicia, Spain. Ahlenius, formerly the CEO of Barruecopardo tungsten mine, brings over 35 years of international mining experience. Known for his expertise in sustainable mining, Ahlenius's role is pivotal for Eurobattery's strategic goals and sustainability efforts.

Ahlenius has a history of implementing top environmental and safety standards, including a 25% cost reduction in mine operations and achieving zero lost-time injuries over two years at Barruecopardo. His leadership contributed significantly to community revitalization and sustainability awards.

Eurobattery Minerals aims to enhance its strategy of ensuring responsibly mined raw materials in Europe through this appointment. With production at San Juan scheduled for 2026, the company has also signed a Letter of Intent with Wolfram Bergbau und Hütten AG to align the project strategically within Europe.
