EVN Advances Wind Power Expansion Amid Strategic Investments

EVN AG has reported significant strides in its wind power expansion during the first half of 2025/26. The commissioning of the Gnadendorf wind park, with a capacity of 28.8 MW, and the enhancement of the Prellenkirchen wind park, increasing its capacity to 47.6 MW, brings the group's total wind power capacity to 561 MW. This progress aligns with EVN's goal of reaching 770 MW by 2030.

Alongside this progress, EVN is constructing two additional wind parks and undertaking two repowering projects, expected to deliver a combined output of approximately 67 MW. As part of its Strategy 2030, EVN is investing EUR 1 billion annually in transforming the energy system, with a focus on renewable energy generation, digitalizing network infrastructure, increasing battery storage, and advancing e-charging facilities.
