Exasol AG's CTO Mathias Golombek to Depart

Exasol AG, a notable global technology provider, has announced the departure of its Chief Technology Officer, Mathias Golombek. Effective June 30, 2026, Golombek leaves the company to prioritize personal commitments after serving over two decades. Golombek has significantly influenced Exasol's technological evolution, rising from Head of Research and Development to the Executive Board in 2014.

Golombek expressed gratitude for his tenure at Exasol, acknowledging the company as integral to his life. He leaves with confidence in Exasol's future, as it maintains robust team dynamics and strategic clarity. CEO Jörg Tewes acknowledged Golombek's impact on advancing Exasol's analytics engine and market position.

The company will not immediately seek a successor. Alexander Stigsen, Chief Product Officer, will assume Golombek’s responsibilities, ensuring continued progress without disruption.
