Photonis Defense Secures Key U.S. Army Contract, Boosting Exosens’ U.S. Expansion

Exosens' U.S. subsidiary, Photonis Defense, has received a significant delivery order for the U.S. Army's Binocular Night Observation Device (BiNOD) program. The initial order includes 1,600 complete systems, marking the commencement of Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP). Deliveries are scheduled to begin by the end of 2026 and extend throughout 2027.

This development represents a crucial phase shift from testing to production within the BiNOD program, under an Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract valued at $352.6 million. Photonis Defense plans to manufacture these night vision devices domestically, incorporating Exosens' advanced image intensifier technology.

The contract is a major milestone in Exosens’ growth strategy within the U.S. defense market. Both Exosens CEO Jérôme Cerisier and Photonis Defense CEO Shanna Owens emphasize the partnership's commitment to delivering superior night vision capabilities to American forces.
