Ferrero Group to Acquire Brazilian Protein Snack Company Bold Snacks

Ferrero Group has announced its agreement to acquire Bold Snacks, a premium protein snack company based in Brazil. Established in 2018, Bold Snacks has experienced rapid growth through its digital strategy and innovative product range, which includes protein bars and whey powders.

This acquisition marks Ferrero's entrance into the better-for-you category in South America. Daniel Martinez Carretero, the CFO of Ferrero Group, highlighted the strategic importance of this move, which will enhance Ferrero's presence in this market. The acquisition will incorporate Bold Snacks’ facilities in Divinópolis, Minas Gerais, with 300 employees expected to join Ferrero Brazil.

Gabriel Ferreira, Founder and CEO of Bold Snacks, views the merger as a significant opportunity for growth, propelled by Ferrero's global influence. This acquisition will add to Ferrero's portfolio of health-focused brands, which includes Eat Natural and FULFIL in Europe, and Power Crunch in North America. The transaction is anticipated to conclude pending customary approvals.
