Forsee Power and KONČAR Collaborate to Electrify European Trains
Forsee Power and KONČAR – Electric Vehicles have announced a new partnership to electrify regional passenger trains in Europe. KONČAR, the leading rail vehicle manufacturer in Croatia, has chosen Forsee Power's ZEN 55 LFP RAIL battery systems for its latest Battery Multiple Units (BMU) and Battery Electric Multiple Units (BEMU) trains. An initial order will equip eight trains operating in Croatia.
KONČAR plays a pivotal role in Southeast Europe's transport modernization, specializing in battery-powered rail solutions. The BMUs and BEMUs will run on non-electrified lines, using Forsee Power's battery systems for propulsion and other essential functions. These systems ensure compatibility with existing infrastructure and facilitate in-motion charging.
Forsee Power’s battery technology supports high voltage architectures and offers scalable energy storage, meeting stringent safety standards. The collaboration underscores both companies' commitment to sustainable transportation solutions.
