Galenica AG, a prominent player in the healthcare industry, has announced the launch of a novel pharmacy concept aimed at enhancing customer experience and consultation services. This initiative is being piloted at the Amavita pharmacy located in Zurich's Glattzentrum, set to open on October 25, 2025. The redesigned pharmacy features express checkouts, private consultation rooms, and digital support for product discussions. These enhancements cater to the changing needs of customers who often seek information online before visiting pharmacies.

This pilot project is part of Galenica's strategy to transform pharmacies into central health consultation hubs. The company plans to implement this new concept broadly by 2026, with more pilot locations on the horizon. The redesign aligns with federal initiatives supporting pharmacy services like vaccinations, which will be covered by basic health insurance from 2027.
